K2’s corporate event planning producers have been providing outstanding production support to companies large and small for over a 15 years. Numerous corporations have engaged K2 to produce events ranging from conferences, event marketing, awards shows, launches, fundraising, team building, and holiday parties. In January 2018, we had the pleasure of collaborating with Bell Partners for their annual conference. This year it was held in Greensboro, NC at the Koury Convention Center at the Sheraton Greensboro at Four Seasons. The Guilford Ballroom includes a huge built in stage with dramatic red curtains which fit perfectly with the conference’s Hollywood theme. K2 designed and built two custom theatre marquees for the entrances to the main ballroom. The marquees along with the red carpet, Hollywood stars on the floor and up lights added an elegant theatre feel as attendees entered the space.
Inside the main ballroom, the stage design consisted of three large projection screens and theatre style blinder lights. We also brought in some old theatre lights on rolling stands and an old film camera as stage props. The main lighting for the room was controlled by moving head lights hung from trussing mounted to the ceiling. These lights provided gobo projections, stage lighting, wall washes, and accent lighting.
Various rooms throughout the conference center were set up and used for small group breakouts. Tying into the Hollywood feel, each breakout room was set with a lighted marquee poster, red carpet, and rope on stanchions. K2 also provided A/V support in breakout rooms for presentations to run smoothly.
Bell Partners had a glamorous awards night with an Oscar theme. We partnered with Themeworks and acquired these amazing hand carved award statues. They really made an impact in the space for the Awards Dinner.
